Financial Controller

Office Based, Rainham RM13

Job Description

As a Financial Controller at our healthcare wholesaler, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of the company. You will be responsible for working closely with the senior management team and shareholders to deliver sustained growth and continual improvements within the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Examine and improve all Finance and IT system controls where necessary.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial & management accounting controls.
  • Ensure all financial policies and procedures are adhered to – through influencing stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain audit trails and documentation for areas of responsibility.
  • Develop new policies where necessary.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset across finance and operational areas.
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and Board reports
  • Implement and maintain best practise month end closure process & accurate reconciliation of control accounts.
  • Implement regular Balance sheet reviews and sign off’s with clear process mapping.
  • Support regulatory reporting as required.
  • Further develop and improve management reporting.
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
  • Identify working capital (cash, stock) opportunities.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, filed, and reported.
  • Identify and drive actions to simplify operational procedures, implement process efficiencies.
  • Assist with large scale strategic initiatives as required.
  • Strengthen and develop relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Present reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, as required.
  • Structure, direct and support the Management Accounting team.
  • Through strong, collaborative leadership ensure that objectives are cascaded, and results are driven through the team.
  • Develop a highly skilled, high functioning team who are motivated and respected across the business.
  • Promote the culture of continual improvement and added value.
  • Bring external best practice knowledge to the Finance team and motivate the team to work at pace.
  • A strong academic background.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with extensive post-qualification experience

Experience:

  • Strong process implementation and control experience within Finance and operations.
  • Experience in embedding Management Accounting best practise.
  • Experience of developing efficient finance processes, governance and audit trails.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of IT Systems along with financial and management systems
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Outlook etc).
  • Experience of Sage 200 would be an advantage
  • Privately owned business ownership experience would be an advantage.

Field Sales Executive

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Field Sales Executive to join our high performing sales team. As a Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by developing new client relationships and converting sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmaceutical sales and thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building relationships, and have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape of the UK. You will be the driving force behind new business growth, identifying and targeting prospective clients across the nation. Your focus will be on nurturing relationships, understanding client needs, and effectively communicating how A1 Pharmaceutical’s products can meet those needs. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by identifying and securing new business opportunities on a national scale.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Predominantly working in the field. Visiting pharmacies and other customers to create awareness, interest and demand for our products, and ultimately securing deals.
  • Visiting existing customers and cold calling to gain new business.
  • Maintaining good business relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge.

 

Experience:

You will be a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of success in new business development and B2B sales, experience in pharmaceutical sales highly desirable.

Trainee Telesales Executive

Job Description:

The Trainee Telesales Executive role requires a self-starter who is tenacious, inquisitive, supportive, attentive, and highly motivated. Additional qualities include good IT skills, good organisation, a positive “can do” attitude, and most importantly a willingness to learn and improve. You will be prospecting, calling up new potential clients, building a rapport with them, offering them our products, and closing sales with them.

We will ensure you have all the tools to succeed, including sales techniques and any training required to improve your knowledge of our industry.
