Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking for the right person to fulfill the position of Goods In Manager. The role is permanent, full time and based at our Warehouse in Rainham, Essex.
Monday to Friday 09:00 – 18.00, with occasional required overtime.
Previous experience of Goods in is essential. The candidate must be able to hit the ground running and adapt in this role, Managing a small team in a fast paced demanding environment, continuously looking to improve the operations using a risk based approach.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager and working closely with the Assembly and Purchasing departments, the Goods in Manager is responsible for:
Receipt Planning, Scheduling & prioritizing. You will be Managing a small team of 2-3 Goods in operators ensuring all deliveries received are properly checked, processed and located in a tidy, timely and efficient manner, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant with SOPs in a GMP/GDP environment and be able to present the departments performance on a monthly basis to management.
Ideal Candidate requirements:
Able to work under pressure and pace and must be self-motivated
Superb numerical skills, common sense and a logical brain
Excellent communication skills in both written and oral English
Experience of a senior goods in and inventory role – Pharmaceuticals preferential or other perishable goods.
Experience of sage 200 is advantageous
CRB checked or obtainable if successful.
Flexi truck experience is advantageous.
Suitable confidence and communication skills in order to liaise with all colleagues at all levels,
The ability to instruct and delegate effectively, ability to put new procedures into practice in this new role and ensure the efficient, smooth and continued progress of the goods in operations.
