Exciting opportunity to join one of the most successful Key teams in the sector, working closely with the award winning founder entrepreneurs. Ideally S.E London/Kent/Essex Borders based as a Generics category Manager.
The primary responsibility is to buy/sell generic pharmaceutical products, with full responsibility for costs, stock availability and profit. You will identify the right ranges and suppliers and negotiate the best cost prices and sales prices. You will be fully responsible to the management of the stocks to maximise stock levels, avoid overstocks and take advantage of buying opportunities for additional margin. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, be a strong negotiater, have good analytical skills, and a ‘can do’ do attitude with a strong will to succeed.
The ideal candidate will have and be able to demonstrate:
-Good working relationships with suppliers
-Strong market awareness of product availability
-Strong client base
-Awareness of market price movements
-Monitoring any overstocks or short dated products
-Promoting products to maximize sales and profits
-Work with the Purchase Manager to set the right selling prices
-Promoting awarness and guiding the existing sales team in your category
-Analysis of competitor ranges and selling prices
You will report directly to the Head of Purchasing and report monthly to the Managing Director and management team.
