Top seed Neil Pauffley celebrates title success at Loughborough
Neil Pauffley looked to end the year with the Aegon British Tour Masters title, having recently won his first pro singles title of the year in Barnstaple.
In front of a record crowd for the Aegon British Tour Masters, 26-year-old Pauffley saw 18-year-old Joe Tyler challenging him for the title. Tyler, making his debut in the Masters, had been very impressive in his run to the final, which included victories over fourth seed Luke Oakley, and second seed Keelan Oakley, both in three sets.
Pauffley got off to a very strong start, with some heavy groundstroke hitting, capturing the first set without losing a game. The second set was a different match altogether, with Tyler threatening to take the match to a third set, however, Pauffley was not to be deterred capturing the title with a 6-0 6-4 victory over his teenage opponent.« Back to News
