Antarctic Gurkha20th November 2017
On 15th November 2017, 27 year old Scott Sears will emerge from a Twin Otter prop plane at Hercules inlet at the Southern End of Antarctica’s Weddell Sea with everything he needs to survive 45 days of extreme hardship alone. His plan is to be the youngest person in history to walk to the South Pole: solo, unsupported and unassisted. The 1100km journey ahead will take in crevasse fields, temperatures reaching down to minus 50 degrees centigrade and wind speeds of up to 150mph.
Scott aims to raise over £25,000 for the Gurkha Welfare Trust to help rebuild schools destroyed by the April
2015 Nepalese earthquake, A1 Pharmaceuticals has contributed £5,000 towards the cost of the expedition
and are proud to be a sponsor to his coming journey
