A1 Pharmaceuticals Plc declared as a National Champion in the European Business Awards 2013-201424th July 2013
A1 Pharmaceuticals Plc continues its success in being selected as a National Champion representing the United Kingdom in the 2013/14 European Business Awards. A1 has competed with the best businesses in the nation to win the accolade of representing the United Kingdom.
Mr Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards sponsored by RSM, and sponsors Infosys, Millicom, BP Target Neutral and UKTI congratulated A1 on its success for being recognised and awarded for its financial performance, the growth strategy and the leadership of the founder directors Mr Gary Lewis and Mrs Carmen Lewis in representing the nation for such a prestigious award.
A1 saw off a tough competition to seal the best company to represent the UK to compete with companies around Europe to be ultimately crowned the European Business Award winner.
Since 2007, the European Business Awards has been shining a light on the most innovative businesses on the continent by promoting success, innovation and ethics in the European business community.
In 2011, the EBAs engaged with over 15,000 organisations in over 30 countries showcasing the best in class, the winners from a diverse range of industries including cosmetics, engineering, fashion, online businesses, manufacturing and transport were congratulated by an audience comprising heads of state, leading industrialists, entrepreneurs, business leaders, media owners and academics from across 30 European nations.
As a National Champion, A1 will go on to compete in the second phase of the competition resulting in successful organisations being short-listed for Ruban d’Honneur status. A video entry will be made on A1 Pharmaceuticals plc to create visibility and to tell the success story to a wide audience. Video entries will be watched on-line by the judging panel responsible for short-listing the Ruban d’Honneur recipients and the general public will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite businesses during this time.
Participants represented a combined turnover of over €1 trillion Euros (8.23% of EU GDP)*, employing over 2.7 million people
A1 has demonstrated a growth strategy that has achieved outstanding levels of sales, profit and market share improvement, and has a robust plan in place for sustained financial growth. The company has always strived to continue building on its success, and Gary commented that the next goal is to achieve £100 million in sales turnover by 2018.
